Flip Flop Love

It’s a flip flop kind of world I live in. With five kids and two dogs it goes without saying that my average day is not spent strolling the avenue, window-shopping for my next pair of killer Victoria Beckham inspired high heels. Nope, those days vanished with kid three or honestly maybe they never existed. Either way, simplicity has become the name of the game chasing after my little ones and as a result, I love me my Havaianas flippity flops… Wherever I go, they go.

Together we make a perfect pair. My sandal of choice, the black SLIM, neither highlight nor distract from the fact that I am uber short - which is always a plus in my book. Their thin, delicate strap is rather complimenting, as well, and they look brilliant with my summer uniform of casual sundresses and cut-off shorts, paired with chic tanks; They literally go with everything. If you’re still not sold, as if the above stated weren’t enough to justify my Havainas love, they are crazy comfortable! I simply have to slip on these Brazilian born beauties and, voila, I’m out the door. Ready with a diaper bag fit for Armageddon, a tribe full of kids, and enough balance to be an Olympic gymnast. My feet planted firmly on a cushiony sole, ready to tackle yet another day as ‘Mama.’

Flip flops are more than my go to shoe, they are like one of life's effortless little blessings. From the rocky streets of Ethiopia to the suburban sprawl of my hometown, where I go they go and I am ever pleased to tread the globe in my Havaianas. Next stop, grocery shopping... The adventure continues.
